Who is responsible
RS Car Check Doncaster, run by Robert, is responsible for the details sent through this site. Contact: hello@rscarcheck.com.
Questions about this note, or about your details, can be sent to that address.
What is collected
The enquiry form asks for:
- your name
- a phone number or an email address, at least one
- a link to the car listing, if you have one
- the registration number, if you have it
- the make and model
- where the car is
- the inspection you are interested in and the day that suits you
- anything you choose to write in the message
If you contact the business through Messenger, WhatsApp, phone or email instead, those messages are handled by the provider you use, under that provider's own privacy policy. This site does not receive or store them.
Why it is used
The details are used to reply about an inspection and to arrange a booking. They are not used for anything else.
Lawful basis
I use your details to reply to your enquiry and arrange the inspection you ask for.
How long it is kept
I keep enquiry details only as long as needed to reply and arrange the inspection.
Who it is shared with
The site is hosted by Netlify, which also runs the form service. It processes form submissions on the site's behalf. As with any website, the host handles visitors' connection details, such as an IP address, in order to deliver the pages.
Messages sent through Messenger, WhatsApp, phone or email pass through those providers.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the details held about you, ask for them to be corrected or deleted, and object to how they are used.
To do any of these, email hello@rscarcheck.com.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your details have been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and storage
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Fonts, scripts and images are served from the site itself.
Your browser's session storage is used for one small purpose: to remember that the intro animation has already played, and to time the transition between pages. It is cleared when you close the tab and is never sent anywhere.
